Testosterone is a hormone that is natural and mainly produced in the testicles of men. Testosterone stimulates sperm production, sex drive, and helps to build muscle and bone mass.

Testosterone production naturally decreases as men age, you may experience a range of symptoms if it decreases more than it should. Low T is diagnosed when levels fall below a normal range (300- 1000 ng/dL, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration). All doctors require a blood test (called serum testosterone level) this is used to determine your level of circulating testosterone.  These tests are usually drawn in the morning, which is when your hormone levels are highest.

Some of the major health problems that have been tied to low testosterone are, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.

Low testosterone isn’t the known cause for the health issues, and testosterone therapy isn’t the cure. However, there is a link between the two and studies have shown health improvements for men who have taken testosterone replacement.

Common symptoms:

  • Low Libido

  • Low Energy

  • Weak Erections

  • Sleep Issues

  • Depression

  • Low Strength and Endurance

  • Hard to concentrate
